Weed Control 05.22.13

Periodically throughout the summer we will be applying chemicals to control weeds on an as needed basis.  If you see a flag in your yard, it likely means a small area of your yard has been treated with one of the following products:

• Speedzone (Broadleaf Herbicide) EPA#2217-833:  Applied to broadleaf weeds in turf.  Affected area should be kept off for 24 hours.
  
• Cornerstone (Nonselective Herbicide) EPA#1381-192:  Applied to broadleaf and grassy weeds encroaching from turf into adjacent bed areas.  Affected areas should be kept off  for 24 hours.

• Surf King Plus (Surfactant):  A water conditioner that lowers surface tension, allows the liquid to stick more to the plant, and acidifies the water to combat high soil alkalinity and increase herbicide effectiveness.
